📖 The Scoop
Mother Teresa's Sisters, in their white, blue-edged saris, are well known throughout the world. Not so well known are the Missionary Brothers of Charity, also founded by Mother Teresa and also committed to living among, and caring for, the poorest of the poor. This book tells their story and that of their first General Servant, the Australian born Brother Andrew. It is based on the author's close association with the Brothers during which has lived among them, had access to the Society's informal histories and other material including significant parts of Brother Andrew's correspondence. In many ways the Brothers are just the ordinary men they claim to be. But their story reveals something more. In their willingness to embrace voluntarily the conditions of the poor and to love and serve them they are, in the words of Mother Teresa, 'the tender love of God in action'. -- Back cover.
