📖 The Scoop
In an environment characterized by weak contractual enforcement, sovereign lenders can enhance the likelihood of repayment by making their claims more difficult to restructure ex post. This inefficiency may be alleviated by a suitably designed bankruptcy regime that facilitates debt restructuring.
