Its simple, double-page unit structure ensures a clear language focus. It has a gradual syllabus which never overloads the student and incorporates cyclical revision. It focuses on rapid vocabulary development as an effective means to early communicative confidence. Its exceptionally motivating, often humorous, topics and contexts give a memorable focus to each unit. It offers creative practice material including role-play, transfer activities, songs, and games. An Interaction appendix contains further communicative information-gap activities. It encourages learner independence through regular Check-back units in the Student's Book, and Study Guides in the Workbooks. It seeks a balanced development of all four skills.
