Such was the state of youth ministry in 1998, when Kenda Creasy Dean and Ron Foster wrote The Godbearing Life. The book that emerged from their mutual passion for God, youth, and the church recharted a course for youth ministry, challenging readers to put relationships before programs as they guide young people toward long-lasting, authentic relationships with Jesus Christ. Mary, a teenager, birthed God into the world, and we-all of us, young and old-are called to do the same.
