Sustainable Social Policy and Community Capital

These proceedings include a series of papers presented at the two-day Sustainable Social Policy and Community Capital session organized by the Caledon Institute of Social Policy. This event took place as part of the fourth annual Summer Program of the Institute in Management and Community Development at Concordia University. The session was designed as a multi-sectoral event to explore the issue of community capital - money, assets, and skills - within the context of the broader concept of sustainable social policy. The goals of the session were to introduce and develop an understanding of sustainable social policy; broaden our appreciation of the resources available to promote economic and social well-being; and identify the potential role of cross-sectional collaboration as one means of accessing and optimizing resources. These proceedings include biographies of the resource people who made presentations at the conference as well as a contact list of those who participated in it.
