As a sportsman he ran in the Mexico Olympics. He is involved now as a spiritual director in the Ripon & Leeds Diocese, living with his wife Sue in Bramhope, West Yorkshire. They have four children, three grandchildren and three cats. Abi loves to create personalised and nostalgic little worlds through her collages, paintings and three dimensional models. She is inspired by beauty found in small things; cherry blossom, vintage buttons, a scrap of floral material or old text, to name a few. Having studied Illustration at university, Abi now works in the Art Room at Caring for Life, a Christian charity based in Leeds where she lives. This charity aims to share Jesus's love in very practical ways with damaged, hurting and vulnerable people, and encourages them to develop gifts and creativity they never knew they had.
