"MORGAN V" is a story of Africa, with all the magic and mystery, including the seething excitement captured in the whole gallery of different characters. including the protagonist Mphalele Mbithi, who as a young man was caught within the web of events in post-Apartheid time and sought to find escape from the servile circumstances of his family background through an opening in adventurous crime. the 'Great White Bull' or Mr. Givens Von Raalt, the staunch conservative who tried to resist the change that came with the debacle of minority rule and his liberal son Gilbert both represent conflicts in Afrikaner inveterate attitude towards the Hotentots. Viscount Alan Forster symbolizes the evil of an emerging world which refuses to recognize the humanity of Africans namely the neo-imperial dimension of international crime syndicate, stretching from South Africa, the Caribbean, the U.S.A, Nigeria and Russia, etc. In this International crime saga, the twists and intrigues are parts of the whole idea of struggles, the negation of the humanity of those who were only pawns in the game of higher order and the conflicts of those to whom everything was viewed in terms of conquest only. The book is not didactic and does not assume a definitive stance to pontificate; it is a pure work of fiction tampered by events that actually happened.
