Being a widowed single father is not for the weak. If wrangling his five year old daughter’s braids wasn’t hard enough, the babysitter canceling put him over the edge. The final straw was arriving to the fall winery wedding to find the cake had slid off its base and needed emergency repair. 

Panicked, with his daughter in tow, Ben found a savior in the winery’s florist, Fallon, who stepped in to run interference while Ben frantically worked. 

What started out as a terrible day, ended in the most surprising way, as he found his shy daughter bursting with laughter with her unexpected sitter. His broken heart cracked open and let a ray of hope shine through. 

Fallon surprised herself at how much she enjoyed the company of the young girl. And her Dad. She’d known Ben for a couple years, yet never stopped to look past the khaki pants and button downs to see the playful man who lurked behind them. 

Ben found his carefully structured life turned upside down and didn’t seem to know how to get back on solid footing. Fallon blew into his life like a warm breeze, bring light and joy—and hope.
