At the time, it announced that a meeting would be held with representatives of its main education partners. This meeting, which took place on December 6, 2010, focused on the future of universities and their contribution to the development of Québec. The meeting revolved around the following three themes: the funding of university education; the financial accessibility of education; and the performance of universities. The Québec University Funding Plan is a direct follow-up to this meeting.
