In 1958 an aspiring conservatory trained musician ended his quest for a job in a major orchestra. Through a New York Times ad he found a position at a music licensing company, BMI, as a card-file clerk. Within 15 years he was CEO of one of most prestigious music publishing companies in the world containing substantially all of the music of The Beatles. In following years Sam Trust would make his own share of music business history. Here you will find descriptions of the music business including the origination and hopes for songs, their hits, their misses, and the continued perseverance. The stories are inspiring and often funny involving music notables such as John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Glen Campbell, Little Richard, Dan Hill, Tammy Wynette, The Everly Brothers, Dick Clark, and others.
