[...] In addition, the top global importers and exporters have been listed for each Alberta export priority, and some further assessment has been made of the competitive position of Canada and other countries, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. [...] Between 2003 and 2005, beef imports from the USA and Canada to Japan have decreased from $824.7 million to $5.4 million and from $15.3 million to $0, respectively. [...] Currently South Korea appears to be in the final stages of a process that will lead to a resumption of beef imports from the USA.
