The goal of making the first land crossing of the Antartic Continent was never reached. Instead, the Endurance, Shackleton's ship, got trapped in pack ice, and Shackleton's new aim was to rescue all his crew members, in which he finally succeeded. We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public.
