📖 The Scoop
The two-act play, That Rebellious Towne (at Extended Reading: A, for 9-10 year olds) is one of ten playscript adaptations of existing Cambridge Reading stories to be published in January 2000. This group-reading pack is accompanied by teacher's notes, co-authored by Nick Warburton (an experienced playwright and children's author) and Jennie Dunn (a practising teacher and drama specialist), comprehensively covering the NLS requirements for study of plays as well as offering general guidance on reading and performing the plays in the classroom. The plays are ideal for group/guided reading sessions, providing an excellent means for practising reading, speaking and listening skills within a supportive group context. They can be used to deliver all the NLS objectives for plays, especially focus on play adaptation and comparison of genre.
Genre: Education / Teaching Methods & Materials / Reading & Phonics (fancy, right?)
