This report presents an inventory and evaluation of sand, gravel, and bedrock resources in two townships located in the northern Bruce Peninsula of Ontario. It includes descriptions of the inventory methods used in the field and office, resource tonnage calculation techniques, data presentation and interpretation methods, the physiography and surficial geology of the study area, the extent of extractive activities conducted in the area, sand and gravel resource areas suggested for possible protection, and the bedrock geology of the townships. The appendices include a glossary, a general review of the geology of sand and gravel deposits and of the bedrock geology of southern Ontario, and an outline of aggregate quality test specifications.
