DEFAMATION is an old fashioned courtroom drama that explores the highly charged issues of race, religion, gender, class and the law with a twist: the audience is the jury. Through deliberations and post-show discussions, audiences engage in civil discourse that challenges preconceived notions. By December 2015, Defamation will have been performed more than 220 times and seen by over 40,000 people throughout the United States at venues including community colleges, universities, law schools, high school, theaters, civic organizations, Bar associations, and houses of worship. At every show audiences have deliberated in earnest and rendered a verdict.
