Manfred Bischoff (1947-2015) was one of the most innovative jewelry artists of our time. He designed items of jewelry that tell stories and enriched his language of forms through references to contemporary art, quotations from art history and philosophy, and inspiration from his bountiful world of ideas. Through this, he developed his own particular way of mounting his jewelry pieces on drawings, on which messages and titles appear in his own characteristic hand. In this forthcoming publication, his work will be showcased in its entirety for the very first time, including early works, which attracted little attention in previous publications. The publication is oriented on the sequence of places that each had a major influence on his works: first Berlin, followed by further locations in Italy. The book not only documents Manfred Bischoff's multifaceted oeuvre with numerous illustrations and preliminar. // Manfred Bischoff (1947-2015) gehörte zu den innovativsten Schmuckkünstlern unserer Zeit. Er gestaltete Schmuckstücke, die Geschichten erzählen. Seine Formensprache reicherte er durch Bezüge zur zeitgenössischen Kunst, mit Zitaten aus Kunstgeschichte und Philosophie sowie Inspirationen aus seiner reichen Gedankenwelt an. Dabei entwickelte er eine besondere Art, seine Schmuckstücke auf Zeichnungen zu montieren, auf denen Botschaften und Titel in einer ihm eigenen, charakteristischen Schrift erscheinen. In der geplanten Publikation wird sein Werk erstmals in der gesamten Fülle gezeigt, inklusive des Frühwerkes, das in bisherigen Publikationen nur wenig Beachtung fand. Die Publikation orientiert sich in der Abfolge an den Orten, die jeweils einen großen Einfluss auf seine Arbeiten genommen haben: zunächst Berlin, dann weitere Stationen in Italien.
