He is the author of "Better Speeches in Ten Simple Steps, Revised 2nd Edition (Prima).
Russ Colliau worked as political director of California Attorney General Dan Lungren's successful re-election campaign in November 1994. He has served California Governor Pete Wilson both as a campaign staffer and as an appointed staff member.
