Hill End Public School opened on 30 May 1870 and was expanded in 1872 to cater to the increased number of children that had arrived in the NSW goldfields town with their families. The school's motto is "Strive with honour".In 2020 the School celebrates 150 years of continuous education to generations of these families in the district. This book follows that story from day one until the present. It is not just facts and figures, but integrates official records, contemporary documents, photos, and oral histories, into a comprehensive story of education in an historic gold mining village.Was your ancestor one of them?
