📖 The Scoop
The Howards Pass stratiform deposit is developed within the lower part of the Road River Formation. Graptolites from surface exposure at Howards Pass document a very late Llandovery age for Road River beds well above the deposit. Conodonts and graptolites from drill cores and adit samples establish a latest Early to Middle Llandovery age for the mineralized beds and Late Llandovery age for closely overlying Road River strata.
