She loves her job, but as a woman in a male-dominated field, she has to work harder, smarter, and longer hours to prove herself. A personal life is a luxury she can’t afford, especially one that includes a certain relentless deputy sheriff.

Deputy Sheriff Ryan Larson has given up trying to fight the attraction he feels for Talia Johnson, but the tenacious park ranger is firmly lodged in his head and his heart. The rift between the deputies and park rangers continues to grow, creating an insurmountable hurdle between him and Talia.

Catastrophe strikes and Talia finds herself in harm’s way. Ryan races to help her, but will her stubbornness prevent her from accepting his help, or will she finally admit she needs him?
