We still need tanks any time it's necessary to invade an enemy, not just punish him. The major fighting vehicles of the world are on display in this photographic parade of great historic tanks. Over 200 styles and models appear in vivid full color, and feature many tanks you'll never see in classic and antique military exhibitions, because only a few are left. Others showcase the great tank series that provided keys to victory from the earliest "land crabs" of World War I to the more than 1,300 Iraqi tanks that were destroyed in less than 100 hours during Operation Desert Storm. In between, you see the tanks of all countries on both sides in World War II and Korea, complete with detailed descriptions of their development, specifications, and historic achievements.
